Principal's Message

I extend a warm welcome to you and your family to Rowville Primary School.

“Learning starts in infancy, long before formal education begins and continues throughout life”.

We are living in a complex world. To thrive in both todays and tomorrow’s world our students need skill sets that encompass both intellectual skills and social and emotional skills. We understand that students need to have greater thinking and problem-solving abilities and be more self-motivated than ever before. Our teachers support and guide our students to be thinkers and enquirers, who wonder and pose questions.

Through our extended specialist opportunities and academic program, we prepare our students for the future. This includes: a garden/environment program; sport; performing and visual art; Stephanie Alexander Cooking Program; Italian; and the “How the World Works “program of inquiry. Our academic programs include the explicit teaching of Literacy and Numeracy.

Opportunities and experiences both in and out of the classroom inspire our students to develop a love of learning. Learning is for life and provide the foundation for our students to fully experience lifelong education.

Our school promotes a set of values which empowers students to make positive contributions to the school and the wider communities. Our students live and learn by our values: Respect, Pride, Responsibility and Perseverance. As an accredited DET International School (CRICOS 00861K) we welcome students from around the world. We celebrate the diversity of our community.

As Principal, I look forward to welcoming your family into our strong School community, a community that celebrates diversity and talent and offers a sense of belonging. The people in our community make our school a special place to be. Encouraging and affirming relationships define our learning community. I look forward to helping your child to explore the endless opportunities we have to offer and to thrive. We welcome enrolment inquiries at all year levels.
